Should You Only Use OEM Print Cartridges?
In order to combat the high prices of OEM cartridges, quite a few manufacturers have cropped up specialising in remanufactured and compatible cartridges. These cartridges carry out the same function as their OEM counterparts except with one crucial difference; they're significantly cheaper. Naturally, as their business models rely so heavily on the sale of expensive print cartridges, many OEM cartridge manufacturers have been quick to denounce non-OEM cartridges, stating they produce lower quality prints, are less efficient and can actually be dangerous to the printer itself. Until competition laws were introduced banning the practise, many were considering implementing technology that stopped non-OEM cartridges working in printers altogether. But there's no smoke without fire, right? Surely something must be wrong with non-OEM cartridges? And how are so cheap? Should you just stick with using OEM cartridges?
