What To Look For In A Psychotherapy or Counseling Supervisor
As psychotherapists and counselors we all understand the wisdom and necessity for working with skilled supervision. It protects both our clients and ourselves. It provides us with a sense of encouragement and support. It facilitates insight into ourselves and into our clients and it enables us to do better work than we would otherwise have done. But, there is even more to good supervision than this. For those of us in private practice, it can also help us in the business aspects of our work and, for those of us in organisations, it can help us to deal with the dynamics of our professional world. So, bearing all of this in mind, What should you look for in a supervisor?
